I Scream for Ice Cream'  2006.08.10 - ISSUE 102: "Chocolate chip, vanilla, strawberry frozen yogourt, Bovinity Divinity, Makin’ Whoopee Pie, the list goes on (and on).  A good old fashioned trip to the ice cream store with the kids will never go out of style - no matter how outrageous the flavours get.  One thing that does not change is that kids end up wearing half of the beloved frozen treat much to the dismay of mothers around the globe (thus the screaming part).  DripStik was invented by a mom of five children (no dip stick) who has cleaned up her fair share of sticky fingers and chins..."

No More Drips (taken from The Daily Stroll, July 14, 2006): "To me, ice cream was hardly worth the trouble when I was younger. I preferred a piece of cake or a brownie. Something with a good grip. I was always the kid with the ice cream that went splat. If I got any, I had to get it in a bowl for fear of the splat factor. Leave it to a mother of five young kids to help cure the world of the splat factor..."

Solution to a sticky problem: Area woman invents Dripstik to hold Popsicles, ice-cream cones (taken from The South Bend Tribune, June 17, 2006):
"Mecinna Price was tired of Popsicles leaving puddles of juice on her kitchen counter. She was tired of getting her kids dressed up for a party -- only to have them end up with strawberry or chocolate ice cream on their clothes. "At one point, I was like no more Popsicles, no more ice cream -- I've had it," the mother of four said at her South Bend home on Thursday..."

'Mompreneur': Former resident patents invention to catch sweet drippings (Taken from The Idaho State Journal, May 7, 2006):  "It started with the incessant rainbow-colored drippings that showed up almost every time the Price Children slurped down ice cream and popsicles. Mecinna Price, mother of four and frozen treat fanatic herself, had a problem on her hands. A messy, sticky problem, that is. "I tried to say no more popsicles in the house, but I like them too much myself," said the former local resident. Then the proverbial light bulb went on...
